I saw a good interview with Michael Moore on LinkTV a couple of months ago. Although mostly about his new movie on Capitalism, it also covered Obama and other topics. He is still willing to give the President a chance for 5 or so months more. He believes that he will eventually start fulfilling the promises of his campaign.
He also talked about how we must all be careful not to sink down to the level of the Teabaggers, Faux News, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Beck, etc. and become like them but just on the opposite political spectrum. We liberals should remain reasonable, calm, intelligible, and open-minded, etc. In this way, we will continue to grow as more people realize we are the only reasonable choice. Most people, given a chance, will not choose to support hate, greed, and racism.
I intend to try and follow his recommendations and practice what I preach. And tone down my rhetoric a tad. Or at least try. Maybe.
Traitors like Joe Liebermann make this so difficult though...
